NPBC Graduation 17th November 2018
Two of our Fecabu students took part in the graduation this year -
Alain is rejoicing at passing his Diploma, first class. He continues on to the BA course next term - this will take a further 2 years.
Pierre has now completed his BA through the Global University in Bible and Theology. He reports that he is already passing on what he has learnt.
Nairobi Pentecostal Bible college continues to be very active in providing Bible training to eager learners from all over East Africa. There are fewer residential students than there used to be but this has been more than made up by large numbers of adults taking certificate and diploma qualifications at many centres in different parts of Kenya. Last year over 1,000 people graduated with one qualification or another. The college continues to offer the BA in Bible & Theology validated by Global University in USA.
Rev Peter Kay, a trustee of Creative Solutions started the term off with some devotions from Psalms and taught a course on John's Gospel in May 2017
In 2017, NPBC celebrated 50 years of training pastors for the African church. Many denominations send their students to study at NPBC for the 2 year Advanced Diploma which can lead naturally into the Global University BA in Bible and Theology after another approx. 2 years of study. The number of residential student has declined over recent years to about 30 but the number of students now attending NPBC satellite study centres is coming up to 1,000.
Creative Solutions is currently supporting 2 students from the FECABu churches in Burundi to study residentially and to learn to be fluent in English. Alain is doing the Advanced Diploma and Pierre completing his BA having been a pastor in Burundi for about 10 years. The cost of sponsoring a residential student at NPBC is £1000 per year for the Advanced Diploma and £1600 for the BA. All contributions are welcome. (See update on these 2 students in the Powerpoint above).
